In October 2024, Gui Yintai, Chairman of XIAMEN BAG IMP&EXP. CO., LTD. and member of the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association (CDCA), generously pledged to plant 100 mu (about 16.5 acres) of forest land in Fengning County through the "China Siyuan Engineering Foundation" as part of the "Forest Protection and Tree - driven Revitalization" initiative.

These trees, which are about to be planted in Fengning County, play a crucial role in the ecological balance. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen through photosynthesis, making them an indispensable "carbon sink" in nature. It is estimated that 100 mu (about 16.5 acres) of forest land can absorb and purify approximately 7,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide and release about 5,000 kilograms of oxygen annually, equivalent to contributing a fresh "green lung" to the Earth.
